Welcome to Mount Eliza Mini Lops. We are a small breeder located on almost an acre in the eucalyptus woodlands of Mount Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. We absolutely adore bunnies and breed purebred Mini Lops. The health and well-being of our bunnies is of prime importance to us and we uphold ethical breeding practice. Our children spend many hours are spent caring for them daily.
Mini Lop are the perfect companion rabbits because they are small, easy to handle and have lovely playful temperaments. They also enjoy human interaction and can become very attached to their owners.
• Adoptions •
We have a very small number of adult rabbits, allowing us to give them the very best care. Our rabbits are housed in huge custom built outdoor runs with plenty of room to exercise, relax and bring up healthy litters in an open area. Mini Lops are a very friendly and playful breed. They love company, either another bunny or a human. Their gentle temperament and small size make them a great rabbit family pet.
• Diet •
Fresh, clean drinking water and good quality hay and grass should make up the majority of your rabbits' diet. We feed them:
- unlimited fresh oaten hay
- top quality pellets
- fresh seasonal greens daily grown in our 40m vegie patch
- fresh fruit treats and dehydrated rose hips from our garden
• Breeding •
At Mount Eliza Mini Lops we are very concerned with the welfare of our pets. We ensure they are fed fresh food, water and have a clean environment daily. This reduces the chance of any illness or problems. Our rabbits’ enclosures are large and spacious. They have access to custom made outdoor hutches with runs and a large indoor enclosure in the bunny house. This allows them to play, relax and have healthy litters. We only breed one pair of rabbits at a time and don’t believe in or condone over breeding rabbits. They are our children’s pets and are treated with respect and love. Our children play and interact with the bunnies every day to ensure that they develop friendly temperaments.
